Picture the scene. It’s 9:00 pm on Christmas Eve. The family are dozing around a crackling wood fire. The adults are drowsy from gorging on cheese and red wine. Even the kids, pyjama-clad, with heads full of dreams of Santa Claus, are beginning to nod off in front of a muted Disney film. Grandpa, cosy in his slippers is gently snoring on the reclining sofa.
