Pre-NCT Test
Vehicle owners will need to undergo an NCT every two years or every year if their vehicle is over 10 years old. Global Tyre Co. check and fit new tyres, carry out wheel alignment tests and offer brake condition tests to prepare you for your NCT. NCT Test Information
The NCT test is a comprehensive check of vehicle components to assess whether a vehicle meets the basic requirements to be deemed roadworthy. A vehicle is not permitted to be used on the road without a valid NCT certificate.
We recommend adhering to the following steps before taking your NCT:
-Check your vehicle engine for oil and water and ensure the windscreen washer is topped with water
-Empty your boot and clear the vehicle of all valuables and personals belongings
-Ensure the vehicle is clean (including under the body)
-Remove wheek hubcaps only in the case where wheel nuts are not visible and ensure tyres are inflated to the correct pressure
-Ensure your engine is in a fit state to be tested
-Check that all seat belt clips are fully visible (including rear)
-Have your lights checked and set
-Ensure your vehicle is at a normal operating temperature prior to arriving at the test centre for inspection
